A note from Elizabeth & Linda

Dear friend,

Twenty-three years ago, one of us opened a small shop in Charlotte with nothing more than a good eye, a lot of heart, and a simple belief: the right clothes can make a woman feel like herself again. That was Elizabeth. There was no big plan, no five-year strategy, just a mother who loved beautiful, honest style and wanted every woman who walked through her door to leave feeling a little more confident than when she arrived.

That's Linda's earliest memory of the store too, folding sweaters after school, learning the regulars by name, watching her mother turn a simple conversation into someone's favorite outfit. "Helping out" slowly became something she loved just as much as her mother did. These days we run things together, and honestly, we still finish each other's sentences about what belongs on the rack and what doesn't.

We named the shop after both of us because that's really what it is: two women, one generation apart, who happen to see clothes the same way. Not as something to chase trends with, but as a way of showing up in the world with a little more presence and confidence. We've never been interested in fast fashion or fleeting styles. We'd rather find the pieces that fit into your actual life, the ones you reach for on a busy morning, on a trip, or on a day you just want to feel like yourself.

To us, getting dressed should be simple, but it should still feel powerful. That's what Elizabeth believed on day one, and it's the same thing Linda holds every single piece to now. We choose everything with real intention: fabrics that feel good and last, silhouettes that flatter without restricting, designs that still make sense years from now. If something doesn't add real value to your wardrobe, it simply doesn't make it into our shop.

More than anything, we hope Elizabeth & Linda feels like a place you can trust. No exaggerated claims, no unnecessary complexity, just well-made clothing that delivers, the same way it has for twenty-three years.
